I have taken a little 2 week hiatus from baking (sorry for slacking Steph!) so this weekend I decided to do nothing but bake! Well and sleep, read, workout, go to church, watch the Oscars, take two naps… ok so I didn’t spend the whole weekend baking but I did try some new recipes including these delicious Samonies – Samoa Inspired Brownies!
Okay…is anyone else as much of a procrastinator as me? I’ve been mentally preparing to make these brownies for at least a month. I’ve even had the ingredients purchased and sitting on my counter for two weeks. Yet somehow, here I am. February 13. Just now baking something to share for Valentine’s Day. I hope you can forgive me!
I’ve discovered the secret to winning over co-worker love… bring in baked goods on a regular basis.
I started baking for my co-workers at my previous job in Los Angeles and you would have thought I was Kate Middleton handing out buckets of gold. They were truly the most appreciative group of people and they always loved what I brought in!
I also love baking for my co-workers because I don’t want to eat all the sweets by myself. And trust me, I’ll eat every last bite. One of the traits I inherited from my grandmother, besides a healthy does of worry, is a massive sweet tooth. Continue reading

Correction, my name is Kelly and I am a recovering Nutella addict.
I am recovering in the sense that I only buy Nutella if I am going to bake with it and only if I use the entire jar. If I don’t use the entire jar, I throw the rest away. I know it’s wasteful and I do feel bad but, I cannot have Nutella around the house or I will turn into that person who comes home from work, throws on a pair of sweats, turns on a West Wing marathon via Netflix, and eats Nutella out of the jar with a spoon…
